East Minor Football Final – Oola 5-07 Pallasgreen 1-9
The Oola minors had a good win over neighbours Pallasgreen in the Final of the East A Minor football championship. Played in Kilteely Oola started well, taking control of in most areas of the field. Ivan O Dwyer was impressive at wing pack, while the Oola Full back kept a dangerous Pallasgreen full forward line at bay and with Tadgh Whelan and Eoghan McNamara in good form in the middle of the field Oola had a platform which
allowed them to gain a lead they never lost.  A good supply of ball lead to forwards Barry Murphy, Jamie Heuston registering goals. In the second half Oola really took control with full forward Jamie Heuston rounding off a man of the match performance, scoring a total of 3-3 in the game and "Small" Jack Ryan  getting Oola's other goal.
